The Beauty-Wellness Industry in total is one that few know in depth, but seemingly all want to jump on board.  Briefly, this evolved and evolving industry reveals a coming together of distinct cultures and diverse businesses to focus on lifestyle  .  wellness  .  achievement  .  philosophy  . self-actualization   .  and nationalism.  The influencers and the influential are interpreting beauty and health in their spas through a blend of what is locally and historically preferred within their own cultures, and intertwining these with the highest international standards of operation, presentation, client relations and business practices.   The enormous profits to be made have not been lost on major international corporations and/or individual investors of great means.

 The Worldwide Business of Spas (working title) will be a 13-part documentary TV series guaranteed to “massage the senses,” to be distributed on Web TV – and through national and international TV syndication service.  Additionally, it will be edited to become a behind-the-scenes 3-hour documentary DVD series.  The format will be a CNN-emulated style that will appeal to a broad, multi-gender demographic spanning a large percentage of viewers who are seeking hope, joy, energy and peace.  A recent survey conducted by “American Lives” has found that 33 percent of Americans (approximately 100 million people) are “actively pursuing methods of finding more balance in their lives.”  Extrapolating that figure projects almost unfathomable numbers who are seeking life enhancement and enrichment.

"The Worldwide Business of Spas” will be a fascinating and entertaining, behind-the-scenes look at the big business of spas; where these beauty-and-wellness retreats are located, along with a glamorous travelogue of each country; how each region incorporates its age-old beliefs, remedies and beauty secrets into its presentations; where the new medical spas are found; why Americans are traveling the world for cosmetic and wellness enhancement; and how spas have provided economic benefits for their specific environs, and more.  The on-location production – which necessarily involves extensive research – means that each segment will be unique, thereby maintaining uncommon viewer and sponsor interest.
